How to Wear Glasses With Nerve Pain
Why do glasses cause nerve pain?
-
Pressure points: The weight of eyeglass frames and where they contact your face can create pressure points which can trigger the nerves in the areas of the face where this contact occurs. This can lead to pain and headaces.
-
Allergic reactions: facal nerve pain can be triggered by an allergic reaction to certain materials used in glasses.
-
Nerve Compression: If you have a pre-existing nerve condition such as trigeminal neuralgia or occipital neuralgia, glasses can aggravate this condition when they create pressure on these facial nerves causing pain, discomfort, and severe headaches. This can be quite a delimna for someone who suffers from this condition, but also needs to wear their glasses for work or driving.
How to wear glasses with nerve pain:
One way to prevent eyeglasses from triggering Trigeminal Neuralgia is to use patented iLiftz® Cozy Eyeglass Socks. The Cozy Socks are weighted and provide a counterbalance to gently lift your glasses and reduce the pressure of the glasses on your nose and face and thus reducing the likelihood of your glasses triggering facial pain.
For some, the pressure of eyeglasses around the ears can also trigger an episode. Using Cozy Ear Cushions can help prevent these types of triggers as well.

FAQ
How does it work?
Patented iLiftz® slip onto the tips of your eyeglass arms. The weight creates a counterbalance that instantly reduces pressure that causes dents, marks, and slipping.
Will it work for me?
Try this - press down on the tips of your eyeglass earpieces (behind your ears). Notice your eyeglass pressure is gone and glasses will not slide down. Eyeglass problems solved! This is what iLiftz® accessories will do for you.
Note: Earpieces that curve sharply behind your ear may impede the counterbalance effect. Earpieces can be adjusted/straightened for better lift.
What results should I expect?
The number 1 question we get: "Will my glasses float off my nose?" If that happens, you should exchange for a lighter weight. Ideally, you want your eyeglass pressure to be reduced without changing your line of vision.
So even though your glasses may still rest on your nose, you should notice a reduction in the pressure that causes dents, marks, and slipping.
Also, keep in mind that the straighter your eyeglass arms, the more lift you get.
How does it attach to glasses?
They are very easy to attach. Just slip onto the tips of eyeglass arms. When attaching the silicone socks, use a tiny drop of soap on the tips of eyeglass arms - slide the socks on until the arms touch the weight inside the sock.
Can't decide which product to buy?
All of the Patented Weighted Eyeglass Accessories easily slip onto the tips of your eyeglass earpieces creating a counterbalance that lifts your glasses reducing the pressure that cause nose dents & red marks, and plus, it keeps your glasses from sliding down. So, it is just a matter of preference.

Will it slip off my glasses?
For most glasses it is very secure and will stay on until you remove it.
Do they fit any size eyeglass arm?
The iLiftz™ Cozy Socks and Cozy Straps fit eyeglass arms from 3mm-12mm (1/2 inch). For larger arms, add a note to your order that you prefer the nylon material, or use the contact form to request the nylon material for either the cozy socks or straps. The nylon will stretch to fit most glasses.
Which weight do I choose?
Is the weight listed the weight per side or for the pair?
The weight listed is per side. For example, the 1/2 oz cozy socks are 1/2 oz for each sock.
Can I use it on multiple glasses?
You can, but It is recommended to leave on one pair of glasses to maintain a snug fit .
How do I clean it?
Clean with soap and water as needed.
Will the weight hurt my ears?
The good news is that most people do not notice the weight. The even better news - if they do bother your ears, you would be surprised how quickly your ears adjust to the weight. The secret is to remove the socks at the first sign of discomfort for about an hour. Your ears will adjust within 2-3 days. Some customer opt to use Ear Cushions.
Will the Silicone Socks pull my hair?
This product has been formulated to prevent pulling or snagging. When the socks are brand new, you may initially feel some pulling, but that goes away after a day or two of use. Note: If you wear your hair pulled back, we suggest spreading the arms wider when putting on your glasses - this will allow the socks to go around your hair rather than through your hair.
Is it comfortable?
You will be amazed how comfortable your glasses can be with iLiftz™ patented eyeglass accessories.
What if my earpieces are short?
If you have shorter eyeglass pieces/stems that do not extend past your ears, Cozy Socks or Cozy Straps would work best.

Are there any glasses not suitable for Bye-Bye Nose Dents™ weighted accessories?
These accessories work best on straighter eyeglasses arms - the straighter the arms, the better the lift. Many eyeglass arms have a natural curve of 25 - 45 degrees which still works well with these products. However, eyeglass arms that curve down sharply behind your ears will impede the lift, although they will still prevent eyeglasses from slipping. Eyeglass arms can be straightened for a better lift.
The Cozy Socks fit eyeglass arms from 3mm-12mm (1/2 inch). For larger arms, add a note to your order that you prefer the nylon material, or use the contact form to request the nylon material for either the cozy socks or straps. The nylon will stretch to fit most glasses.
